Aberdeen NDE Centre Ltd, are specialists in providing NDT Training, Certification, NDT Level III Services, and Consultancy, has now developed and launched an NDT Application Centre for the Oil and Gas Industry including the accommodation for a variety of other industries within the world of NDE.

With an investment of over £200,000 in establishing the centre, will help raise and promote a high standard of NDT training and Certification that meet with an ever demanding requirement to have engineering students/ technicians comply with sector specifications and Standards applied.

Director of NDT Level III Services, Raymond Wilson commented "being in this industry for over 20 years, I believe that there are two distinct keys to significant and successful training, with firstly the trainers having relative knowledge, experience and education within the industry in previous years and suited to that of the lectures given.

Secondly, the trainer being capable of delivering the relative knowledge, experience, and education where in addition includes a high level of attention given to students around each NDT subject covered in lectures, this we provide.”

Since 1996, Raymond has been providing training and certification in NDT in accordance with company based schemes in particular SNTTC1A and EN473 (PCN), working closely with many of the Aberdeen based Oil and Gas related companies in manufacture, fabrication, in service inspection and integrity both National and International recognised certification schemes. Over this period Raymond has also delivered the same service extensively over many International locations around the world.

Ray Wilson adds “I have spent all of last year in the UK establishing the Centre, where now we hope to increase our full time staffing in order to supply NDT Level III trainers, invigilators and examiners to these locations overseas on continuing our services previously undertaken worldwide.”
